Lesson 11: Where Are You Going?
Objectives:
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
- Give and understand directions.
- Recognize and correctly pronounce the consonant sounds [s], [z], and [ʃ].
- Use the verbs aller, habiter, and traverser in the present tense.

- Listen to the dialogue and choose the correct answers.

- Match the dialogue with the correct itinerary.

- Distinguishing Sounds [s], [z], and [ʃ] (Page 67, Activities 1 and 2):
- Identify the sounds in different words and practice pronouncing them.
- Dictation Exercise (Page 67, Activity 4):
- Listen and complete missing words.
- Vocabulary: Places and Directions (15 minutes)
- Learning City Landmarks (Page 68, “Les lieux dans la ville”):
- Repeat the names of different places in the city aloud.
- Matching Activity (Page 68, Activity 1):
- Associate elements to form useful expressions for giving directions.

- Conjugation Study (Page 70, “Apprenez” Table):
- Review the present tense conjugations of aller, habiter, and traverser.
- Fill-in-the-Blanks (Page 70, Activity 3):
- Complete dialogues with the appropriate verb forms.

- Free Exercise:
- Describe how to get from Point A to Point B using the learned vocabulary.
- Example: « Je vais à la bibliothèque. Je traverse le parc et tourne à gauche. »
